A Message from our 2009 -2010 President

Good Day! Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque web site. 

My name is Bert Benedick. Our Club goal is to serve the children of the world, one child and one community at a time. We endeavor to do this through our cooperation with many community associations in the world of business, education, government, and non-profit entities.

This great Club is fortunate to have close to 150 members in many walks of life.  Raising money, awarding gifts, helping hands-on to those in need, enjoying social functions and camaraderie are our assets.

Our Club intends to reach out to men and women of all ages and backgrounds. A typical Club meeting will consist of a non-denominational prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, a funny joke, a few announcements and an outstanding speaker. We do all this, including the meal, in one hour.

You should know that our Club has a rich history, whose birthday extends back to October 03, 1917.  We continue to strive to be the most admired, informed, and fun loving Club in our community. In order to be a community leader we must concentrate on doing the right things the first time, on time, throughout our Club.

Albert Schweitzer has said: “I don,t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: The ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve”.

Now I would like to invite you to look over our many sites; read our Newsletter; investigate our Kamp Kiwanis for children; and visit us at our next Club meeting.
